The Relationship Between Brand Loyalty Essay Example for Free

The Relationship Between Brand Loyalty Essay Assess the connection between brand faithfulness, corporate picture, and continue buying. Brand reliability In showcasing, brand dedication involves a shoppers duty to repurchase the brand and can be exhibited by continued purchasing of produced products or administrations or other positive leads, for example, verbal support. Genuine brand unwaveringness includes that the shoppers are willing, at any rate on occasion, to set aside their own needs in light of a legitimate concern for the brand. Brand dependability is more than straightforward repurchasing, be that as it may. Clients may repurchase a brand due to situational limitations, an absence of feasible other options, or out of accommodation. Such reliability is alluded to as false faithfulness. Genuine brand dependability exists when clients have a high relative disposition toward the brand which is then shown through repurchase conduct. This sort of faithfulness can be an extraordinary advantage for the firm: clients are happy to follow through on greater expenses, they may cost less to serve, and can carry new clients to the firm. For instance, if Joe has brand unwaveringness to Company A, he will buy Company As items regardless of whether Company Bs are less expensive as well as of a higher caliber. A case of a significant brand dedication program that reached out for quite a long while and spread overall is Pepsi Stuff. Maybe the most critical contemporary case of brand dedication is the intense commitment of numerous Mac clients to the Apple organization and its items. From the perspective of numerous advertisers, dedication to the brand as far as buyer utilization is a key factor. Corporate picture A corporate picture alludes to how an organization is seen. It is a regularly acknowledged picture of what an organization depend on. The arrangement of a corporate picture is an actualize in the observation the executives. It is made exclusively by advertising chiefs/advisors who utilize advertising and different types of advancement to propose a psychological picture to the general population. Typically, a corporate picture is intended to be fascinating to general society, with the goal that the organization can start an enthusiasm among clients, make portion of brain, make brand value, and in this manner make simple item deals. A partnerships picture isn't exclusively made by the organization: Other supporters of a companys picture could incorporate news media, writers, worker's guilds, natural associations, and different NGOs (non-administrative association). Companies are by all account not the only type of association that makes these kinds of pictures. Governments, magnanimous associations, criminal associations, strict associations, political associations, and instructive associations all will in general have a novel picture, a picture that is mostly deliberate and somewhat unintended, in part self-made. For instance, the corporate picture for Serenity Spa Salon, which has a picture of a woman, looked up with hair streaming down. This picture gives the feeling of unwinding where a woman can complete her face and hair. The delicate hues utilized give an impression a loosening up feeling at the salon. Accordingly welcoming tired ladies to come here and loosen up while their hair and face are being dealt with. Just if the experience is a triumph for the client will it be transformed into rehash buys. These rehashes, not the single buy which is the focal point of most models, are the place the sellers center ought to be, for these are the place the benefits are produced. For instance, Mrs Lee have attempted the PILOT pen previously and she thinks it is an agreeable pen to compose with. She purchases more for her office use which all providers are anticipating. A few providers even gives an example to preliminary on so the client will need to purchase from them again as it fulfilled them to utilize it.

The words administrators and pioneers can be utilized as a substitute for one another. An administrator for the most part hold a dictator position in an association where they perform initiative aptitudes for administrative purposes. An innovator in an association functions as a director and chairman of assignments in a business. A pioneer is additionally liable for proficient yield of their subordinates. Administration is a convoluted murmur lead (Anonymous, 2013). It very well may be considered in various manners. On the off chance that one intends to turn into a fruitful pioneer, one must concentrate on the numerous initiative kinds and speculations. A successful pioneer is committed to create positive qualities, accomplishing objectives, making trust and empowering and moving their adherents (Anonymous, 2013). A viable pioneer ought to be competent to take choices and give firm guidelines. Initiative methods the ability to change a circumstance in a manner the all the patrons feel genuinely treated and approved to help tackle the issues gainfully (Smith, 2012). Administration characteristic hypothesis focuses on a pioneers principals and ethics, character, course to power, sex, requirement for achievements and acknowledgment, confidence and physical, mental and wistful attributes. Already, authority quality hypothesis assumed that people have explicit inborn attributes and characteristics related with administration. Most people imagined that having the necessary characteristics would assist them with turning into the best chiefs. Studies as of late have discovered that having explicit inherent attributes doesn't warrant authority viability. A promising pioneer most have assurance, desire, truthfulness, thinking capacity, confidence and information about the organization. Business pioneers must have some specific characteristics that would bring achievement and improvement of an association. Learning the basic characteristics of pioneers is fundamental as obtaining the characteristics that describes a powerful pioneer is an irreplaceable apparatus for the accomplishment of an association. Assurance is an amazingly valuable characteristic in a pioneer and comprises of different ideas. It is involved more noteworthy requirement for achievement, reliable battle for improvement, drive, force, industriousness, diligence and incitement (Bateman Snell, 2009). Both the association and pioneer gains incredibly from this quality, yet can bring hurtful impacts also. At the point when a pioneer shows outrageous aspiration and assurance, they don't depend others with valuable obligation and innovativeness endures thus. Authority inspiration is likewise an imperative attribute the pioneers must hold. It mixes inventiveness in the organization as representatives are driven by high inspiration. This attribute likewise gives that a powerful pioneer must have solid drive and an assurance to order. On the off chance that this characteristic is joined with high virtues, the subsequent conduct can imbue regard, confidence and commitment to the pioneers (Bateman Snell, 2009). Honesty is one of the most regarded characteristics of viable pioneers. A pioneer depicting trustworthiness will prompt certainty from supporters (Bateman Snell, 2009). It is basic for a pioneer to show truthfulness, genuineness and trustworthiness and such an attribute is very significant in a business setting. Fearlessness is an unequivocal quality for business pioneers. Business pioneers typically face many errands day by day to test their guts. They face various testing obligations and pressures regular and along these lines, self-assurance is very basic to enable the pioneer to manage his work viably, regardless of in which business he works (Bateman Snell, 2009). Self-assurance is a significant authority attribute yet pomposity must not eclipse a people genuine certainty. Information on the business-is a characteristic all the pioneers require to climb the stepping stool of accomplishment in their chose business. Effective pioneers have a solid understanding about their associations, enterprises and procedures and they are well-furnished with the abilities that assist them with assessing and utilize their knowledge day by day (Bateman Snell, 2009). A solid knowledge about business is basic to achieve errands and difficulties that emerge every day. All these administration characteristics are indispensable to turn into a compelling pioneer in any industry and all pioneer demonstrate have these attributes to be dynamic. As per (Hughes, Ginnet Curphy, 2012), average conduct models can be arranged by utilizing the general character types. Such a conduct is ordinarily the loner social butterfly, mindfulness nature, and intellectual detecting and surveying observing character elements. The significance of beneficial and reasonable authority insight is expanding. The insight can be disseminated in three sections: The sensible knowledge, utilitarian insight and beneficial knowledge. Numerous examinations give that pioneers appreciate a more noteworthy level of intelligent insight than the ordinary open (Hughes, Ginnet Curphy, 2012). The utilitarian and profitable initiative insight is additionally increasing expanded significance. The useful knowledge or the understanding into a people work is turning into an indispensable instrument for todays pioneers. Those pioneers having more prominent level of useful knowledge are ending up being powerful issue solvers under stressing conditions (Hughes, Ginnet Curphy, 2012). About the coherent insight, it gives that pioneers give better answers for the issues and are more keen than the rest. They ordinarily advantage more prominent from their experience. The enthusiastic knowledge is an ongoing idea. This sort of knowledge manages the understanding and response to individual and gathering feelings. Likewise, enthusiastic knowledge has had a fundamental impact in deciding the job of feelings and sentiments in powerful authority (Hughes, Ginnett Curphy, 2012). As I would see it, the two essential administration speculations that can help with creating successful pioneers are assurance and inspiration. Being administrators of an organization, we ought to have the assurance and inspiration to upgrade the yield and satisfaction of our representatives. Inspiration assumes a significant job in the yield of our workers. Having the duty to lead them, we should be skilled to rouse our representatives to convey the best of their capacities. On the off chance that we become fruitful in spurring representatives, we can have a viable imaginative group (Hughes, Ginnet Curphy, 2012). References: Unknown (2013). Authority Traits. Poverty and Pollution Case Study Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Destitution and Pollution - Case Study Example For this situation, moral ramifications lies in the way that organizations are utilizing the underdeveloped nations for their own monetary benefit, to the detriment of the individuals and condition of the host underdeveloped nation. Be that as it may, morals direct that any fruitful business should work inside the current system of guidelines to serve all gatherings included, which incorporates condition and neighborhood individuals. Moreover, organizations that cause contamination just provide food after their own advantages and leave individuals to endure the results of contamination. In addition, exacting moral laws and guidelines in the underdeveloped nations business segment has extensive effect identifying with monetary profits radiating from the said organizations because of the costs subsidiary. This is on the grounds that a nation isn't eager to relinquish the income, subsequently, local individuals are left enduring the outcomes of natural abuse and contamination in the jou rney for riches. Furthermore, a portion of the motherlands of these organizations dirtying the earth will in general be ground-breaking and incorporate attractive bundles to the third-world governments, which are as an end-result of unregulated misuse of assets without restrictions and liabilities. Furthermore, organizations working in underdeveloped nations have various grounds to dismiss contamination principles. One reason prompting this issue would be feeble guidelines overseeing contamination threat in the creating nations. These frail rules encourage organizations to ignore the law since little should be possible to punish them for their untrustworthy demonstrations. Along these lines, there is little to be lost by the said organization when contrasted with nations with severe natural contamination laws. Additionally, laws assume a significant job in the reaction of ecological organizations answerable for handling these natural issues. This is on the grounds that powerless law s don't encourage law authorization, therefore, low inspiration and expanded contamination violations in underdeveloped nations (Amnesty International, 2009). Defilement can't to be abandoned, as it is a basic viewpoint, this is as far as guideline; where those accused of duty get pay-offs from organizations to permit contamination obtrusively (â€Å"New A.T. Kearney...†, 2000). Moreover, the issue of punishments prompts complete dismissal for guidelines of contamination control. This is as far as tolerance and cruelty while rebuffing violators of these guidelines as they set guides to be copied and followed. In such manner, organizations that are tolerantly punished have a chance of rehashing a similar offense, as the pay is a lot higher than the punishment. Also, it could be less expensive to take care of the punishment than follow the set rules. Thus, organizations may decide on the least expensive way out by boosting their benefits to the detriment of preserving nature. C ontamination, monetary development and improvement all have a cozy relationship with one another since as indicated by basic conviction, contamination is the cost of progress, and that the expense of advancement is legitimately corresponding to the resultant contamination regarding mechanical waste and toxin material. This is obvious on account of china that multiplied its Gross Domestic Product by more than multiple times, and the outcomes are a sharp ascent natural contamination, environmental obliteration and expanded carbon dioxide discharges (ZhiDong,

Why the Step I Exam Should Matter to You

STEP I STEP I There’s a reason I wrote it all in capital letters: becauseit’s the greatest fear of all kinds of medical students. This testengenders a huge amount of anxiety, because of its importance forresidency. To get to medical school, you’ve overcome a huge number ofacademic challenges -- the USMLE exam is no different. As a tutor, I’verealized a key to success is adopting the proper mindset for the testand for test preparation. I’m here to provide some perspective and tips from a student who hasbeen through it to keep things sane. I hope that this blog postserves as a good mental base for you as we work through the next partsof your test preparation. Shifting Your Perspective: Barrier vs. Stage Every extremely successful student I’ve ever tutored has undergone thesame mental gymnastics, and I’m asking you to perform them for theUSMLE. When many students begin, they see the test as a wall standingin front of them blocking them from seeing patients and getting theresidency that they want. Instead, see the USMLE exam as a stage whereyou can demonstrate what you know. The test is challenging, but thewriters don’t have anything personally against you, or any otherstudent. All they want to do is give you an opportunity to demonstratewhat you know. Think about each question as a little challenge, justlike a patient, that is fun to unpick and understand. Medical students love brainteasers, in many ways, it is why we do medicine. Focus onthat aspect of the test, and take joy in mental gymnastics ablyperformed. How the Step I Exam Can Help You The Step exam can also serve as a fantastic tool for learning illnessscripts, clinical knowledge, and scientific fundamentals. At somelevel, the things on the step exam are just trivia, but taken moreseriously, they can be very important. Out of all the possible thingsthat could be tested, they chose this small set of facts. The â€Å"trivia†actually represents either important clinical knowledge that you don’tyet have, or captures some important experiment that serves as a modelfor further research. an important way of thinking. Example 1: Diagnosis As you go through clinical training, you’ll become familiar with theidea of illness scripts, the â€Å"classic† presentations of a disease, along with the group most commonly affected by the disease. Theâ€Å"patients† on Step I are the most classic illness scripts, andstarting to think about these now can be a useful tool for the most common disease presentations. Step I is mostly about diagnosis, sobeing able to make these classic diagnoses is very important to doingwell on the test, but will also help you in a clinical setting. Example 2: Research For students interested in research, preparation for the test is veryuseful in clearly defining terms. One of the major problems I’veencountered in research is that many of the terms are somewhatsquirrelly; with definitions rarely exact. My studying forced me to bevery precise in my language and definitions. As an MD/PhD, I’mcurrently working in a genetics lab doing research. I’m much morecomfortable with the lingo because I worked so hard during my Steppreparation to get the precise terms into my head. Without Step, Iwouldn’t have done this! Parting thoughts At the end of the day, it’s really just a number. When I started taking the test, it was surprisingly anticlimactic.Getting the score back was the same way. My heart got a little flurrybefore I opened the e-mail, I gave a little whoop when I checked myscore it, and then that was it. You’ll get a number, that starts witha two followed by a digit between zero and 7. That number isn’t areflection of how good of a doctor you are, or how well you’ll handlepatients, or even how much you know. If you’ve studied your hardestfor the test, then things will go well for you! Lucky Jim by Kingsley Amis and The Edible Woman by...

Lucky Jim by Kingsley Amis and The Edible Woman by Margaret Atwood The adolescent years are often associated with turbulence, illusion, and self-discovery; however, Kingsley Amis’s Lucky Jim and Margaret Atwood’s The Edible Woman demonstrate that more often than not, the twenties possess these qualities to a greater extent than adolescence. The age period of the twenties often consists of relationships, employment and self issues and using the premise of these uncertain times, Amis and Atwood effectively satire various societal systems. Moreover, Amis and Atwood both implement the use of the foil, a character who, by contrast with another character, accentuates that character’s distinctive characteristics. In particular,†¦show more content†¦Thus, Jim was inwardly laughing at Christine’s mannerisms and yet, when Carol Goldsmith asks him â€Å"What’s the joke?,† Jim replies â€Å"Oh, nothing† (Amis 50). Thus, Amis uses Christine, one of Jim’s love interests who acts as a foil to Margaret, as a tool to show Jim’s disparity between his outward and inward character. However, towards the climax of Lucky Jim, Jim becomes furious with Bertrand Welch for telling Jim to stay away from Christine and for the first time, Jim reconciles his thought and his action. â€Å"The bloody old towser-faced boot-faced totem-pole on a crap reservation,’ Dixon thought. ‘You bloody old towser-faced boot-faced totem pole on a crap reservation,’ he said† (Amis 209). This signifies the maturation of Jim’s character and the union of his outward and inward personage. Moreover, this character growth would never have occurred without the use of a foil because without the contrast of Christine to Margaret, Jim would have never appreciated Christine’s appealing attributes. Similarly, in The Edible Woman, Atwood shows the maturation of Marian’s character. However, unlike the character of Jim, Marian’s outward and inward character divergence occurs after Marian meets one of her love interests: Duncan. Atwood contrasts Duncan to Peter,

Price - Demand and Revenue Relationships-myassignmenthelp.com

Question: Does a fall in price always increase demand and profit of a firm? Answer: Annotated Bibliography Source 1: Dairy prices: Keep calm and bake on, newspaper article Nzherald.co.nz (2017).Dairy prices: Keep calm and bake on - The Country - The Country News. [online] The New Zealand Herald. Available at: https://www2.nzherald.co.nz/the-country/news/article.cfm?c_id=16objectid=11902020 [Accessed 14 Aug. 2017]. The newspaper article focuses specifically on the price hike of milk and dairy products in one of the biggest milk producing country, New Zealand and the effects of the hike on the national as well as global consumers. The main objective of this article is to find answer to why the nationals of New Zealand, especially those in Kiwi, which produces the major share of milk and dairy products in the world, pays such a high price (Foote, Joyand Death2015). For study purposes, direct consumers, national and international, suppliers, government officials, economists and analysts are interviewed and their views are taken into account. With reference to a detailed study of the dairy market and several extensive interviews, the study concludes that the local customers are also paying the global market prices of milk and other dairy products, due to an immense demand of the commodities in the international market (Malik et al. 2013). According to the study, to cater to the huge demand and to c apture the client base as far as possible, the suppliers are redirecting their supply more towards the international market (the Kiwi citizens consist only 5% of the overall customer base of the major dairy companies) thereby increasing their revenue, but making it difficult for the locals (Chaston 2017). The article focuses on the positive impact on the revenue of the milk suppliers due to this upsurge in global demand of their dairy products. The article, deals with a real case scenario of highly inelastic demand and the favorable revenue structures that the milk sellers of the country, especially those in Kiwi experience, due to the high inelastic demand (Doole, Romeraand Adler2013). However, though demand, price and revenue relationships are beng studied in this article, the same fails to address the actual research question that is to be dealt in the assignment. The news article specifically focuses on the dairy market of Kiwi, a small region in New Zealand and only studies about the effects on the revenue and oprice structure of milk and dairy products, in this region, due to a recent increase in the global demand. The cause and effect scenario studied in this article, is also opposite to what has to be studied in the concerned assignment (Becker2013). The geographical and commodity restriction of the news article reduces the relevance of the same significantly. Therefore, though this article is viewed, a very vague c onnection can be found between this and the main area which the assignment deals, thereby making the article inappropriate for usage in research purposes for the concerned assignment (Darpizio et al. 2015). Source 2: Do Lower Prices Lead to More Sales?, blog Copyblogger.com, S. (2017).Do Lower Prices Lead to More Sales? - Copyblogger. [online] Copyblogger. Available at: https://www.copyblogger.com/product-pricing/ [Accessed 14 Aug. 2017]. The article mostly takes into account the consumer side and their perspectives regarding pricing of a commodity. Indirectly, it tries to analyze the effect on the revenue growths of an industry, depending upon how the industry sets its prices and what the consumer perceives about the credibility of the product from the price level set by the industry (Solomon 2014). The article takes the example of a photography course, covering several lessons and tries to analyse the effect of different price levels set for the same photography course. According to this article, a course package, priced very high may intrigue the customer to see what is special in that course, though he may or may not be able to afford it. This article argues that in general, for services like this, high prices are seen as an indicator of better quality of service provided (Malik et al. 2013). According to this article, a sudden price rise or fall, both can lead to immense speculations on part of the customers, reg arding the quality of the services. In this article, two types of buying phases are discussed about. In the initial phase, the consumer wants to buy a product but does not have any idea about the right price of the product, thereby guessing about the price (Nagle, Hoganand Zale2016). In the second phase the consumer gets an idea about the different prices of the products and its substitutes that prevail in the market and after comparing among the prices comes to conclusion about buying the products (Moshrefjavadi 2012). The study suggests the producers not to decrease the prices of their products abruptly as it may create more negative than positive influence on the revenue. The article, though specifically focuses on the demand side of the problem, gives a useful insight about the relationship between price and demand of a commodity or service and therefore, the effect of this relationship on the revenue of the company producing this commodity or service can be indirectly portrayed. However, the article focuses on only one particular type of service while studying the consumer behavior with respect to changes in price levels (Nagle, Hogan and Zale 2016). It also fails to show the direct relationship between the change in price and the corresponding effect in revenue of the concerned company. It may so happen that the behavior of the consumers, in response to a change in price of other types of goods and services vary significantly from that of their behavior in case of photography courses, as these type of services are availed mainly for recreational purposes and is not primarily a necessary service. Demand for these types of services is in general high ly elastic (Darpizio et al. 2015). The article needs to extend its research regarding consumer behavior patterns to other types of goods and services and it also needs to take into account the effects of price changes in the revenue of the concerned producers and the service providers, to make it more relevant for study purposes (Nwankwo, Hamelin and Khaled2014). Due to the constraint of types of services chosen and the variables taken to study in the article, it cannot be used as a conceptual base for the article. However, the demand aspect taken into account in this article can be useful as supplementary information for structuring the research. Source 3: Estimating flight-level price elasticities using online airline data: A first step toward integrating pricing, demand, and revenue optimization, peer reviewed journal article Mumbower, S., Garrow, L.A. and Higgins, M.J., 2014.Estimating flight-level price elasticities using online airline data: A first step toward integrating pricing, demand, and revenue optimization.Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice,66, pp.196-212. The article tries to estimate the elasticity of flight booking demand with respect to price, taking into account several endogenous and exogenous factors, which characterizes the demand for flight tickets. It takes Jet Blue Flights for research purposes and studies the data of this commercial airline in four of the transcontinental markets (Jetblue.com, 2017). The endogenous issues in prices, usually occurs while calculation and can lead to biased results and wrong recommendations for pricing strategies. These problems are corrected with the help of an approach of instrumental variable. The article tries to estimate the price elasticity with the help of Ordinary Least Square Method and Two Stage Least Square Method, taking the number of flight bookings as the dependant variable, measured in terms of departure dates and time, the type of markets and the number of days in advance the ticket is booked (Rao 2015). The study results in several interesting observations with significant imp lications on pricing strategies of flight tickets. The study finds business travelers less sensitive to price changes than those who are pleasure tripping. This may be because of their inelastic demand for flight tickets as they are booking flights for professional purposes. Moreover, the demand for short distance flight tickets (the distances which can also be travelled by road if required) are highly price elastic as there are many possible substitute modes of transport available (Malik et al. 2013). Demand for tickets of Jet Blue become strikingly price sensitive in presence of sales and promotional offers of its competitors. The price sensitivity also varies depending upon whether the flight is departing on weekdays or weekends, with those booking weekend flights being more sensitive to prices than those booking weekday flights (Rios, McConnell and Brue 2013). The article derives several important factors influencing the price elasticity of flight tickets, which directly implies that one price strategy for all will not be beneficial for the company as it may reduce the revenue. According to the recommendations of this article, the factors discussed above should be taken into account while planning a composite and dynamic set of pricing strategies, which can direct positive effects on revenue (Cowan2012). The article deals with price, demand and revenue relationships in a real business environment, making the article relevant for the assignment. However, the article is limited to only commercial aviation sector and deals with one particular commercial airline, thereby making it a targeted study. The general relationships between price and demand and their implication on a companys revenue is not studied as a whole (Jetblue.com, 2017). A more generic approach can make the observations in this study more applicable in all economic fields. Nev ertheless, the methodology used in the article seems robust and can be applied to other sectors as well. The article is appropriate to refer to for designing the instruments for studying the result of pricing strategies on revenue, via demand, in a general framework, which is one of the primary objectives of the concerned assignment. Source 4: Price Commitments with Strategic Consumers: Why it can be Optimal to Discount More Frequently ... Than Optimal, SSRN electronic journal article Cachon, G.P. and Feldman, P., 2015. Price commitments with strategic consumers: Why it can be optimal to discount more frequently than optimal.Manufacturing Service Operations Management,17(3), pp.399-410. The article deals with two different pricing strategies that are commonly implemented and constructs a third type of pricing strategy, which can be used, especially in case of targeted or strategic customers; the customers who have a very high reputation of being loyal buyers of a particular good or service (Peppers and Rogers2016). According to the literature, a firm can either have a static price, which remains constant irrespective of demand situations or a always discounting one, which never increases even if there is an upsurge in the demand. A third kind of pricing introduced here, is that of starting with a hiked price level and then discounting frequently. According to the article, in case of presence of a large base of strategic customers and fixed as well as flexibility of capacity of the firm, the third pricing strategy or the high frequent discounting pricing strategy performs the best (Jahanshani 2014). The article argues that if the customers are strategic or targeted t he frequent discounting strategy, though may reduce the revenue of the company in short run, may prove highly beneficial in keeping the loyal clientele satisfied, thereby, increasing the demand for the product of the company. This can prove beneficial for the long run revenue structure and the future prospects of the concerned company (Wieseke, Alavi and Habel2014). The article deals with a research topic, which is closely related to the research question of this particular assignment. It tries to show the effect on a companys revenue depending upon the pricing strategies the company takes. The author assumes the nature of the customer to be strategic or targeted and succeeds to portray a robust relationship between price reductions (in the form of frequent price discounting) and a considerable increase in the demand of the commodity, among the loyal and reputed customers (Cowan 2012). It also draws the relationship between price change and revenue restructuring via higher demand in the long run. The limitation of the article is that it only takes into account strategic customers of a particular company and its products. The article overall emphasizes on how to design pricing strategies such that the company can maintain and increase the strategic clientele and is mainly concerned with the long run revenue increase of the firms (Peppers and Roge rs 2016). It does not take into account the demand of all types of consumers and highly ignores the possibility of decrease in the revenue in the short run, due to frequent price discounting, in order to keep the strategic clientele. In spite of this limitation, the article can serve as a important resource material for studying the problem posited in the concerned assignment an can also help in recommending pricing strategies in a general microeconomic framework (Rios, McConnelland Brue2013) . Source 5: Will Lowering Your Prices Increase Profits?, commercial site Marketingmo.com (2017).Will Lowering Your Prices Increase Profits? | Marketing MO. [online] Marketing MO. Available at: https://www.marketingmo.com/strategic-planning/will-lowering-your-prices-increase-profits/ [Accessed 14 Aug. 2017]. The article reviews the effect of a fall in price of a commodity on its demand and the revenue of the concerned industry. It tries to examine whether with a fall in price, the revenue of the company always increases. To study the relationship between the variables, the article takes help of the basic microeconomic concepts of demand and supply and their relative elasticity with respect to price (Rios, McConnelland Brue2013). The research focuses on a range of price elasticity of demand and their effect on the revenue of the organizations in general. It tries to see the result of a price change on a commodity with high price elasticity of demand and on another with comparatively low price elasticity. According to this article, in case of inelastic price elasticity of demand, a fall in price does not tend to increase the demand substantially, thereby having a little effect on the overall revenue. However, this may not be the case for a commodity, whose demand is highly price elastic (V arian 2014). The article also suggests several optimal pricing strategies like analyzing pricings of competitors, calculation of profitability, forming plans for pricing strategies and others. Although the article takes into account the subject of the assignment in a broad and general perspective, the microeconomic tools used in the article seems to be robust and applicable in studying the effect of fall in price over demand and overall revenue. The main drawback of this article is that, it studies the price revenue relationship in a broadly general framework. It fails to take into account the exceptions that can arise due to exceptional nature of the commodities (like those of Giffen goods, Veblen goods and inferior goods) or of the markets (in case of exceptional economic phenomena like recession or natural calamities, where law of demand usually fails in many instances) (Pielow, Sioshansi and Roberts 2012). For making the article more relevant, the article needs to take into account the outliers and the special cases where the law of demand is violated. It can also take into account a few case studies specific to industry types and economic zones to examine the feasibil ity of the concept that with a fall in price the demand of a commodity increases, leading to an overall increase in the revenue of the company (Baumol and Blinder2015). For the purpose of studying the problem mentioned in the assignment, this article can be used as a conceptual base. The tools used in this article are easy to understand and broadly applicable. Therefore, though not the sole foundation for this assignment, the article can provide a preliminary concept and it can also contribute in forming the methodology of the article.
